Volunteering

• 2023: Volunteer with Anumana Code Academy, teaching a CPD certified course to schools in Greater Manchester with an aim to provide access to programming with Python for disadvantaged students. Content aims to introduce students to programming and develop useful skills that they can pursue for a future in software and technology.

Skills

• Leadership and Independence: With the Code Academy, I coordinated with Wellington School the times for sessions to take place, taking on the responsibility from Anumana. I taught these sessions with my co-lead volunteer, without any immediate supervision from the organisation.
• Time Management: I take part in a variety of different activities at university, such as playing rugby, going swimming, and also making short films. However I maintain that my studies are my highest priority.
• Technical Skills: Microsoft .NET application development using C#, version control using git, and other programming languages such as C++. Produced presentations with Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

Interests

• MUSIC: ABRSM Piano Grade 6, ABRSM Music Theory Grade 5. I also play Electric Bass.
• FILM: Wrote and directed a short film called ICE with the University of Manchester Filmmaking Society.
